Payments Policy

This Payments Policy explains how Electreia (operated by LORDCARE LIMITED, Company No. 15982435) handles payments for orders placed on electreia.co.uk. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions and should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy, and Return & Refund Policy. 1) Accepted payment methods (cards only)

  • Visa (Credit/Debit)
  • Mastercard (Credit/Debit)

Other methods (e.g., bank transfer, cash on delivery, Buy-Now-Pay-Later, crypto) are not supported at this time. Available methods may change without prior notice.

2) Currency, pricing & VAT

All prices are displayed in British Pounds (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. VAT No.: [VAT_NUMBER_IF_APPLICABLE]. If your card is not in GBP, your issuer may apply its own exchange rate and fees. Non-GBP prices shown are for convenience only.

For orders outside the UK, local taxes, duties, and import fees may be charged by customs or carriers; unless stated otherwise at checkout, these are not included in our prices. If a pricing error occurs, we may cancel the order and issue a full refund (see Terms).

3) Authorisation, capture & when you are charged

At checkout, our gateway may place a temporary authorisation on your card. We capture payment once the order is confirmed and preparing for dispatch. For split shipments, we may capture amounts proportionally. If authorisation cannot be obtained, we may hold or cancel the order.

4) Security & compliance

Payments are processed by a PCI DSS–compliant gateway. We do not store full card numbers or CVV codes. All data is protected with TLS encryption. Your bank may require Strong Customer Authentication (SCA/3-D Secure); complete any prompts to avoid delays.

5) Billing details & checks

Please provide accurate billing details. We may use Address Verification (AVS) and fraud checks. Orders may be declined, cancelled, or require additional verification. Your card statement descriptor will appear as (e.g., “Electreia”).

Order totals & shipping charges

Shipping is calculated at checkout and included in your order total: £9.99 flat rate worldwide; free delivery for orders over £50 (after discounts). Express options may be shown at checkout. See our Shipping Policy for details.

6) Promotions, coupons & gift cards

Unless stated otherwise, only one coupon per order. Coupons have no cash value, are non-transferable, and may be withdrawn anytime. If an order with a coupon is partially returned, refunds may be reduced proportionally.

7) Cancellations, refunds & chargebacks

You may cancel before dispatch by emailing info@electreia.co.uk. After dispatch, follow our Return & Refund Policy. Refunds are returned to the original method within 14 days after inspection. If you believe a transaction was unauthorised, contact us first. We may contest unwarranted chargebacks and restrict abusive accounts.

8) Payment failures & holds

If a payment fails or is reversed, we may hold or cancel the order. For pre-orders/back-orders, we may retain authorisation and capture funds once stock is ready. If we cannot fulfil in reasonable time, we will cancel and release the authorisation.

9) Age & capacity

You must be 18+ and legally capable of entering into a contract to place orders. Orders by minors may be cancelled.

10) Data protection

Billing data is processed in line with our Privacy Policy. We only keep minimal metadata (transaction ID, last 4 digits, expiry date) and never store full card numbers or CVV. Manage cookies via Cookie Settings (see Cookie notice).

11) Changes to this Payments Policy

This Policy may be updated from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows the most recent version.
